Corroboree Billabong is part of the beautiful Mary River Wetlands and apart from teeming with birdlife, it boasts the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the world. View these prehistoric creatures in their natural environment cruising past our vessel or basking on the banks of the billabong. 

The birdlife at Corroboree Billabong is prolific and you get the opportunity to see a huge variety of species during your cruise, including White-bellied Sea Eagles, Black Neck Storks (Jabiru), Jacanas, Herons, Ibis, Bee-eaters, Honeyeaters, Flycatchers, Darter, Kingfishers and many more

Late afternoon is generally the best time of day to see animals and our 2.0 hour sunset cruise allows you to view the wildlife during a very active period. Birds are trying to catch their final meals before flying to roost for the evening and crocodiles are on the move ready for a night of hunting. Add to this a spectacular sunset over the floodplains and it`s easy to understand why this is one of our most popular cruises. 

The access road to Corroboree Billabong adjoins the Arnhem highway 1km East of Corroboree Tavern. The last 2 km of the road to the cruise is a well maintained unsealed road. Our shuttle service operates from Corroboree Tavern and provides transport for people who do not wish to drive on the unsealed road,You will see a sign on the front verandah at Corroboree Tavern indicating the waiting area to catch the shuttle, the shuttle departs 30 minutes prior to the cruise times. The shuttle driver provides commentary whilst traveling to the cruise and this service operates from 1st April to 30th October. Bookings are essential and cost $10/Adult and $5/Child return.
